RMBI alumni, Charles WONG and Vanessa CHAN, have been chosen as the Outstanding Financial Technologists of the Year in the IFTA FinTech Achievement Awards 2020.

Charles WONG- Rising Star of the Year - Excellence
Charles is an Associate at the Listing Division at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. He is responsible for supervising the launch of 6 ongoing technology initiatives, and provides research support for the enhancement of Listing Rules. During 2019-20, Charles's team automated the Large Open Position (LOP) reporting process using the SFTP facility, ensuring the highest regulatory standard of derivative trading amid COVID-19 and other unanticipated market shocks.

Vanessa CHAN- Star in the Making - Merit
Vanessa and her team invented a financial education application, SIGMA, which matches Generation Z with investment tools that best suit their risk preferences through gamification of client onboarding & sentiment analysis. At the same time, SIGMA also provides Generation Z with interactive financial education. The award encourages Vanessa to further develop her career and contribution to the FinTech industry.
