Hi there! This is Alice, an RMBI graduate from 2022. As a part of the introduction to our program on the website, I hope our RMBIers’ personal experiences can be helpful to you and I’d love to walk you through my own adventure in RMBI with the following words.

Four years ago, when I was discovering different majors, I found that RMBI was the most suitable one for me since the curriculum contains business, science, and engineering at the same time, which provided more options for me in that state of confusion. Also, I was attracted by the setting of a capstone project which was not available for some majors. I thought it could be a good opportunity to apply what we learned to practice. And so it did. Our team helped the corporate partner identify emerging climate-related risks from news and social media. Thanks to RMBI’s unique design (the only program as far as I know), we could co-work the project with EVMT peers, encouraging me to share and learn knowledge with people from different backgrounds.

RMBI is also a place filled with warmth and support. I would like to thank my academic supervisor, Professor Jean Wang for guiding us through the college years especially when I was at a loss for the major selection and later when we were struggling with our capstone project. She was always there to guide us. Also, a big thank you to our RMBI staff, Gillian, Kamen and Cathy. I received great help from them when I was seeking advice for a gap semester and graduation requirements. When I am writing, the memories flood back to when we prepared for the RMBI 10th anniversary together like a family.
