The determining factor that has attracted me to join RMBI is the interdisciplinary culture it holds. Currently, I am working in a FinTech company designing and developing financial modelling methodology after graduating from this one-of-a-kind program. Uniqueness, is not just referring to the program structure, but also how the program has allowed each RMBIer to be academically, professionally, and personally exceptional.

RMBI has brought me the nuts and bolts of risk management and has provided the perfect blend of the business and technology worlds. On top of the fundamental courses, the flexible curriculum allows me to further polish my skills in my areas of interest, where I focus on data management and machine learning. I could fully understand the importance of cross-discipline skills and appreciate technology as the backbone of success for any business. RMBI students could evolve uniquely and embrace their future.

One of the benefits of the RMBI program is having a diverse cohort with a class size of around 40 people, which provides a favorable environment for peer learning. Having peers specifying in different domains, we all hold the same vision – contribute to society by making use of our strengths. I teamed up with my peers and joined various case competitions to hone our ideas. The most valuable one would be standing as the finalist in the Cyberport University Partnership Program, in which our team developed an application providing gamification financial learning. We aimed to democratize financial wisdom for all through interactive financial education. This journey has always reminded me of everyone’s strengths and contributions.

The experiences in RMBI have diversely shaped and prepared all of us to strive for our own goals. To our fellow RMBIers, affirming your uniqueness has no risk but leads to the most satisfying way of life.
